Securely wipe files from any drive

EraserDrop Portable puts a secure data deletion tool in your USB toolkit. If you often work on different terminals, and want to make sure you haven't left anything there, EraserDrop Portable is at hand.

When running, EraserDrop puts a floating icon on your desktop, and it will permanently erase anything that's dragged onto it. You can also wipe clean the recycle bin and a drive's free space. Simply right clicking on the EraserDrop icon brings up configuration options, and the wiping services.

You can also choose from a range of wiping systems, depending on how secure you want to be. The toughest method wipes any space by doing 35 passes of your drive to really make sure old data can't be recovered.

If data removal is important, EraserDrop portable does do a good job. It's simple and unobtrusive, and running it from a portable drive is fantastic. As a deleting tool it works very well - just drag over the file you no longer want, and it will be gone. Wiping big drives can be a very slow process though, so be warned.

EraserDrop Portable is a great app for quickly wiping files from a computer, although big jobs can be time and resource heavy. Still an excellent addition to any portable drive toolbox
